It's pretty small but I was expecting that. The little compartment in the necklace is VERY small, it held a really small amount of my dog's hair, but it was enough for me.The necklace is very beautiful, there is a paw print in the middle of the charm, and it is a beautiful silver color, I'm not sure what it is made of but I'm sure it was listed above ( in the product details ). The chain is relatively strong and reaches the center of my chest. I wanted it for my keychain so the size is fine with me. I made a paper funnel to insert the ashes and that worked ok. It would be nice if they included a disposable funnel. They do include a small spoon and a tamper tool. It came unscrewed when I dropped my keychain into my purse and the ashes came out. So I added a drop of glue onto the threads. It was very difficult to get the ashes in there but as long as you turn off fans, put a piece of paper down then it's not too hard. I made a paper funnel and that helped.
