My 8yo son is obsessed with trains and I bought this for his 2nd grade school year. It made it through the entire school year with only minor damage.The zipper is thin and weak on it. You have to pay attention to it or you can cause it to bind up. I would have gladly paid more for a nicer pack, but not a lot of options for "train backpacks".
