## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do these work for like 'Adventure riding' like DR650?**
A: I won’t use this for motorbike riding. Find more prone to that activity

**Q: Does it have a pad for tailbone impact protection?**
A: No tailbone protection other than the chamois cloth in crotch. Front thigh and hip protection is great though.

**Q: Are these flexible enough for downhill mountain biking or are they motocross pants repurposed?**
A: These are shorts to be worn underneath other pants or shorts. They are pretty flexible.

**Q: What size fit if my waist is 32 to 34 ?**
A: I’m a 32 waist and use a size large

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfortable, fairly light/cool, and seems protective
*by M***S on August 29, 2023*

First, I trust Leatt’s tech, products, and reputation though I don’t have lots of experience with their bicycling gear (for off-road motorcycling I do have a set of their Z-frame knee braces and tried an armored shirt that I actually liked, but that did not fit me well).I bought these because my aging (61) self is taking up mountain biking again after 20 years away from it. Past experience has taught me I’m definitely going to fall, so now that I’m old, I want any protective advantage I can get. These looked to fill the bill and after inspection I have to say that I think they will be great. I have just put in one relatively short ride on these guys and they exceeded my expectations for comfort and coolness. The weather was relatively warm, and I was not in the most ventilated overshorts, but my naughty bits stayed pretty comfortable. I have read reviews where some people feel like the chamois is too far forward in the seat, but I didn’t find that to be the case. The hip/thigh armor seems sufficient to prevent/reduce bruising, which is all I expect. Looking forward to putting them to the test on real trails. The design of these shorts is pretty impressive. It looks to me like Leatt put a lot of thought into the materials and construction. Only drawback I see so far is they expect you to hand-wash them. TBH, I’ll probably put them in the washer, but in a laundering bag. I do the same for my armored motorcycling shirts, etc. and that has worked out fine.Update 11/06/2023:I’ve worn these liners a number of times now. I continue to believe that they offer good protection, though I wish they had a bit more armor coverage. They are also very comfortable (for the most part) and seem to keep things fairly cool down below. So my one niggle with comfort is the chamois in my copy has kind of a “mold defect” that results in a small raised area, almost like a seam, that interacts negatively with my taint. This is only a problem on a longer ride, say over 10 miles. If I go much over that, I really can’t wait to get them off. Once they’re off, I’m fine. I still like these liners a lot, and I choose them over any others I have, if they’re clean. I like them so much I’ve ordered a 2nd pair.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great low profile padding and comfortable.
*by C***N on January 8, 2025*

Quality padding. Forget I’m wearing during a ride. Fell real hard right on my hip the first day I rode with them and not even a bruise.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits perfectly and super comfortable
*by A***R on December 31, 2024*

Fits great, not at all bulky. Super comfortable and protective.
