I had bought another type of protective cover which never worked well, always slid and looked messy so decided to try this style. I'm so happy I did. Hubby decided he should have a protective cover on his new chair so asked me to put this one on his to try. He loves it. The secure straps hold the seat, no pulling and wrinkling no matter how many times he gets up and down. I did have to be a little creative when it came to securing where the foot is. The way his chair is made, If I stretched the anchor straps to hold, it made the foot hard to lift up so I cut a heavy shoe string in half and put it through the elastic loop and tied it in place still leaving it tight enough to keep the material smooth but easy to raise the foot rest part. Initially I had also forgotten about pulling the seat elastic loops below the seat cushion and loop around the legs so the seat area stayed nice and tight. The foam pieces popped out and back of seat area pulled up and wrinkled until I had figured out my error. Now everything fits nice and snug and those foam pieces they give to tuck down the back and sides stay in place. You just have to remember there are 2 sets of straps to snug. We have 2 cats and have seen no hair problem so far. It will be easy to wash and now that I know how to correctly put it on, it will only take a few minutes. I will be ordering another for my chair. It's a great way to change chair color too. No more looking at the old, brown recliner.
