I've gotten tons of compliments already from people that definitely had no idea I only paid about $60/pair for black and umber. And once you get the sizing right, its all good...However, I read all the customer reviews about personal experiences with ordering the correct sizes (which were all over the place), and also read the product description which clearly states that the shoes run 1/2 size large, so order 1/2 size smaller than you typically wear. Because some people said they were true to size, and others claimed to need up to 1.5 sizes smaller, I went with the product description and ordered 1/2 size down; I wear an 11 for everything and have most of my life, so I ordered a 10.5.When I received the shoes, they looked like flippers. I could have stored my wallet in the tip of my shoe and still had wiggle room for my toes.I returned both pairs for free through amazon due to "inaccurate website description", and re-purchased them at a size 10 (now a full size down). Even though they are still a tad too large, they now fit more comfortably and the laces tie tight without the inside and outside quarters smashing together (a clear sign your shoes are too big). I could have probably fit just as well if not better into a size 9.5, allowing room for the leather to expand with wear, but this wasn't a big deal for meMY RECOMMENDATION is that you START with a full size down and see where it goes from there. But that doesn't mean this isn't a great product. I also have general tips for getting the greatest life out of these.PROS:- Grip Sole made my feet stick to the sidewalk (Good for Winter)- Glossy finish on leather (Was it Burnished?)- Comfortable! The cushioning on the inside of the shoe is surprisingly good. One can walk for an hour and not feel pain in the heel.- Included bag is of great qualityCONS:- The sole takes damage pretty quickly. I walked for an hour to break into the new shoes and already the wood design on the sole is fading from the dirt on the sidewalk. Could use some plastic inserts to prevent this. Ask a local cobbler about it. (This I don't take too harshly considering the price)The bottom line is that this shoe is an amazing value for its price. The shiny look, comfort, and price all make this a high recommendation on my end. A definite recommendation for a first dress shoe, possibly my favorite value pair.GENERAL TIPS FOR GREATER LIFE OF LEATHER SHOES:- Shoe gets soaked? Insert the paper that came with- Invest in a CEDAR SHOETREE. Moisture and bacteria will be eliminated while having the shoe last longer from stretching.- A proper SHOEHORN should be used for inserting your foot. This prevents the back from being ruined.- Prevent rain and snow from reaching the shoe by investing in an OVERSHOE- Wipe off any dirt as soon as noticed- Polish when needed (Not very often if not worn daily)- If you can, get more than one pair and intertwine between wearing the two. I will purchase another pair to do just this.Finally, get a matching belt for the most classy look. Luckily Mio Marino sells leather belts on Amazon.--I will be buying another pair! I got a lot of compliments the first time i wore them. The toe is long but that is the style. It does not effect the feel or fit. Best of all, they are super comfortable to wear. I don't like wearing hard dress shoes but these were not a problem. They seem to be well constructed too. Bought one pair at first to see how I liked them. I liked them so much that i got a pair in black as well.
