You need electrical experience if you want it hardwired into your power using low voltage driver (sold separately). We installed a photo cell as well on the fascia of our house so it turns off during the day but on at night.One design issue is the wiring sticking out of the back. I requested extra rubber stoppers from the seller (THANK YOU!), which have a hole in the center to run the wire. This allowed the wires to be hidden. If you look at other photos, you can see wire running out of the back, but not in ours.Be sure NOT to install these numbers flush or the numbers won't produce as much illumination. To address this and the wires, we mounted the numbers onto a board that matches our trim. We routed a trough on the backside for the wires to run, which allows the board to lay flush against the siding.I love the concept and the finished product. Have fun creating! ### ⭐⭐ Broke The First One I Installed! *by H***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2018* These numbers look good & they appeared to be well made, at first. They mount using long pointed pins that screw into metal inserts that are press fit into the plastic diffusers that cover the back of each number. If you are mounting in masonry, as I did, & you use the included plastic anchors, you will probably break the diffuser trying to get the pin into the anchor. The pins are too large in diameter to fit into the anchors if the anchors are restrained from opening. Solution- Get your own anchors & drill them out or cut them shorter so that the pins go in without too much force. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clean & Crisp *by P***A on Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2019* These light-up address numbers are great.
