Regardless after attaching it to the screen with the self adhesive strips, this junk detached itself from the screen every time I went to open it. I threw it away.
Review: Mirror image takes getting used to - I got used to a camera with an articulating screen. That should say it all, really. I put this device on a Powershot sx500 to protect the screen from fingers and give me back some of the angling I'd gotten used to with an articulating screen. It does what it promises; gives you a mirror image of your screen at an angle that would otherwise make the screen unviewable, and protects the screen from dirt and damage. It is useable with a screen film if you apply the film around it rather than under it. It's designed to be applied to the edges of your screen so if you apply it over a film it will peel the film off with use; which defeats the purpose of both. I didn't give it 5 stars because I don't like the mirror image. It's disorienting due to it being viewed at an angle. Still, it's better than nothing when trying to take a picture of something from a vantage that doesn't let you put your eye where you can see the screen. And it's a great screen cover if you have any worry over impact or scratch damage. Worth the price just for that.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A simple solution for Pentax Optio RZ18 viewing issues!

This well-made and inexpensive little accessory instantly improved viewing issues with my Pentax Optio digital camera. My review of that camera gave a couple of reservations regarding its viewing screen. Thanks to the FlipBac, I will have to re-evaluate the camera, upward! The FlipBac not only makes it possible to view at angles not possible without it (like at ground level or overhead), it also improves the view of the subject. Contrast and detail on the FlipBac are significantly better than the camera's screen, for reasons which I don't understand. For example, I focused at eye-level on a pegboard under a strong overhead lighting fixture; the FlipBac could be adjusted to show the all the small holes in that pegboard, even though the camera screen barely caught them! This was with the camera hand held, and I would expect that tripod use would offer even more possibilities of image screening. I mounted my FlipBac with the name upright, and this allows the viewfinder to open either downward or to the left (away from all the camera buttons on the back). Other cameras might require the FlipBac to be mounted "upside down" to allow to viewfinder to open to the right, as well as upward. Although the FlipBac has a 180 degree of movement both to the side and downward, only about half of that movement is necessary for viewing. One caveat: the hinges on the FlipBac are very tight. I solved that small issue with a tiny dab of Vaseline on the hinges. For $16 and change, you can't go wrong with this device! Oh, I almost forgot: it also acts as a super camera screen protector when closed! Get one!
