Generally, they were the sort of "book" that I'd pick up on holiday when I found them in "spinners" outside newsagents in towns as disparate as Southport, Blackpool, Chester... and Stranraer! In fact, I can remember vividly buying one the "colorized" Giant-Size Treasury editions in the latter place in 1976... or was it '77?Anyhow, bottom line, as I rapidly approach the big six-oh I can safely say that I enjoyed the Omnibus a lot more than my 15 or 16 year old self might have done. At that age, I clearly did not recognise the sheer genius of Alfredo Alcala's inks or, indeed, the manner in which Roy Thomas threw himself into furthering the "Conan" mythos, both as a commercial product and a literary endeavour.It isn't cheap, but if you have that sort of cash available AND you love comics - or did in your far-flung youth - then this (and it's successors) may well be for you!Highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars First rate *by A***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 December 2019* Superb quality book with a long introduction by Roy Thomas about the ins and outs of production. The art is first rate throughout with classic tales. Great reproduction of the covers and inner pages.
