They dry nice and clear without the colour fading. **Q: Can you buy the colours separately if they run out?** A: Because of the price of the set you might as well by a new paint set when others run out. **Q: How big is it?** A: Bit confused by your question but heyho. ..the dimensions listed in the Amazon site are 16.2x11.8x3cm It has 24 half pans which are slightly bigger than the half pans in my Windsor and Newton sets. In the past I used to get stressed out thinking that expensive equalled quality and that only true artists would use paints that would go beyond my budget. Definitely not the case in this paint set. The paints were such a delight to use, mixed well, were vibrant and never chalked up.
