Really nice product for the price, but not USCG Approved. If you are stopped for a safety inspection you could be told these do NOT comply with federal and state laws. I returned the two I purchased for that reason and the return was handled promptly and to my satisfaction by the sell, cudos. The product is well made, of good quality and the sell informed me that they have begun the process of obtaining USCG approval. Once they have that taken care of I will purchase again.

Coast Guard stopped me for an inspection and told me I needed an approved PFD for all on board. At the time they did not consider these PFD's as approved. So I keep an extra USCG approved standard PFD on the boat. Follow the instructions about keeping it dry as rain or wave spray can cause the auto inflate to trigger. Love the slim secure fit. Allows full movement, secure without the bulk. On a hot day does not feel like a jacket as some PFD's do.

My purchase came , and is as advertised. I haven't used it yet as my boat hasn't sank, and I haven't fallen overboard. I'll let you know if it works.

My husband chose this devise for me to purchase from Amazon but after receiving it he was very dissatisfied with it. The devise doesn’t have a snap closure instead it has a metal piece and you must run the straps though every time you use it. He says this is very inconvenient and takes more time to put on and off. Most life vest have snaps. The owners manual for this vest shows it with a snap closure but it’s not what we received. I should have read the reviews before ordering because this vest is NOT Coast Guard Approved! It’s also listed as a prime item but I’m going to have to pay the postage to send it to the company it came from instead of Amazon! Do not waste your money!
