It did say that on the outside but I did not see the warning until afterward. It is apparently not supposed to go back into that little round case, so we just keep in folded up in a closet when not in use. It is the perfect size for our little guinea pig to run around and play while also being able to fit me inside so I can sit with her in it. I can fit her food, hay, hut, a tunnel, and some toys in there with her to keep her occupied for a few hours. The walls are high enough that I never have to worry about her trying to jump or climb out. It also gives her the feeling of freedom from the cage. The play pen is super easy to clean and is fairly water resistant. I have had this for almost 6 months now and it does not smell at all. I am planning to get another soon due to stains that are appearing on the bottom of the play pen but for the price of it I am really happy with the purchase.
