The York ballast failed after a few years, costs over $800 to replace, and this is a nearly exact replacement for a reasonable price. Works well, easy to install, and saved me a ton of money. Even my professional furnace guy could not find an economical replacement ballast, but a bit of effort with desertcart did the trick. Review: Not a direct replacement in my UPG Germicidal lamp. - It had a different footprint than the Robertson ballast that it replaced so I had to knock out a threaded stud, drill a new hole, and find a screw with a very thin head to use it. Our UV air purifier had what appeared to be a custom ballast which was ridiculously overpriced if you could actually even get it but while googling found some information which showed this ballast was used in some models and the picture had their sticker on the ballast but enough of the Robertson part number exposed to identify this as the ballast. So I was pretty sure it would work in ours and it seems to. Our lamp is a LMPHGXJ105 UV Lamp. The original ballast had an LED to indicate if the lamp was working (although the LED never worked) but this one does not - so I routed a short piece of plastic optical fiber from the light area to where the indicator was and now there is a positive indication that the lamp is working.
