Giannis Detorakis, the author, an excellent diver and free diving instructor dears to decipher the life and the incredible achievements of this long forgotten humble sponge diver almost a century after through the pages of this book in his unique way approaching Hatzis' persona in a realistic, scientific but still in an emotionally touching stance. Reading this book you will learn more about his life from small age, understand why and how Hatzis had to develop and perfect these extraordinary capabilities and how and with his complete lack of intention he became the legend for all modern free divers whether sportsmen or record seekers.
