I wouldn't wear these going to court, walking through sweltering stinky inner city neighborhood blocks as they'd probably wear out quickly (and don't have much heel for breaking out any needed Jackie Chan moves or drop-kicking someone), but are basically strong, snug fitting, different color moccasins / slippers. Not dressy at all, so don't wear them to job interviews, testifying or going to church. These shoes are so unique if you like to stand out from the crowd and not be a sheep by wearing popular shoes, then these are definitely for those who like to be different. Even so these are also known as driving moccasins which were designed for men to have better grip while drive hence why the rubber of the bottom shoe goes on the heel. These definitely give you a better driving experience as well as looking good in the summer.
