The stiffener on the back pretty much limits use for ripping. Not to disagree with Old Sailor who probably has better eyes, but under my magnifying lamp it really appears to be a ripcut with no set. Whichever, they are very good and useful saws. Sold as a .010" saw, but I'm measuring, the blade measures .0105" and with the offset of the teeth, it cuts a .012" kerf.
