The paper worked very well for this purpose. The glowing, colored cubes were gorgeous and we received many, many compliments on them. The paper is crisper (less soft) than many other types of origami paper I've used, but it holds folds well. The larger size was perfect for my purposes. I used the red, yellow, orange, and purple papers for my project. Some of the colors are a little different than what is shown in the photo online. The yellow and orange were a little less bright and the purple was darker. The colors in one of the packages was more true to the photo than the other. The pieces of paper weren't all perfectly square but they worked fine for me for this purpose. All in all, I was pleased and would definitely order again. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good size, but not so easy to work with for complex projects *by D***L on Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2016* I was disappointed in this paper. I'm not sure how to describe this paper, but it does not feel very sturdy - almost like newsprint. My origami fiend is selecting some very complicated projects and this paper cannot stand up to them. I have torn several sheets while creasing folds (so if I'm trying to crease from left to right, the paper has torn vertically in between my hands). For projects requiring many folds (e.g., caterpillars, fireworks, springs, balls) and reverse folds (e.g., 50+ folds) this paper cannot stand up to it - it turns to mush and won't hold the creases. In contrast, some of the 6x6 paper I have can hold up to this quite well, as can some giant Crayola sheets I have from years ago.Also, I found the colors to be dull (as in not vibrant). This is overstating it, but the characteristics of the paper, as well as the way the colors show remind me a bit of newsprint. Also, because of its weight/durability, it does not work well for flying projects (airplanes, ninja stars, boomerangs) - it is both too light to fly properly, and does not hold the tight tucks and shapes needed to provide stability - it produces floppy models.Last, my pet peeve is that one of the 10 colors is brown, which is everyone's last choice for papers. So I have 50 sheets of brown paper. Ugh. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Paper at a great price *by W***F on Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2010* I am doing 1,000 origami cranes which can get quite expensive. And I have bought quite a lot of different types of origami paper including some very fine papers made in japan. I decided to get myself a big pack so I could crank out the cranes. This paper is very reasonably priced and well made. It feels very much like construction paper but thinner, it has that slightly fibrous and soft feeling that construction paper has. And I really like the 8 inch square size. This is my preferred working size.This is perfect if you want a lot of paper cut very crisply at a very fair price. This is working paper and I don't recommend it if you want to do very complex folds or if you want to make show pieces.About the folding:This paper will give you decent folding but it won't give you the crispest folds that the more expensive paper will give you.
