**Q: need to do 3 coats on a guitar body. Will 8 oz. be enough?**
A: 8 oz will be plenty. It will be enough for a bunch of guitars and other products as well. It goes really far. The number of coats you will need depends on the type of wood. Deeper grained wood will take 3-4 coats. Other woods can get by with 1-2 coats.

**Q: Can I finish over this with an oil finish such as true oil or polymerized tung oil?**
A: Not a good mix. The oil can’t penetrate the Grain Filler but it would the wood. It could cause it to look blotchy.

**Q: Is thiw a quart? You're advertising 8 ounces. description is contradictory.**
A: They sell a quart size but this is a half pint=8oz.

**Q: If the wood has already been shellaced wit 1 or 2 coats will this product work. If not will an oil based grain filler work?**
A: Yes. This Filler can go over any exsisting finish as long as it’s thoroughly dry. However, do not apply shellac over the top of it.

First time using, the other reviews saying it’s hazy maybe got something wrong? I stained, applied grain filler, sanding lightly in between coats until the surface was smooth, then clear coated and it turned out perfect just fyi you can’t really stain it after you apply this unless you sand it a lot, I didn’t want to burn through the grain filler and have to restain making it blotchy, just a nice even surface then clear and you’re done. Not hazy.
