The Action carpet knife by Orcon gives you an angled design to allow you better control with your cuts. Knife uses slotted razor blades, and offers a patented "D" ring for quick and easy blade change. Built with solid construction, which offers you comfortable placement in your hand. Review: Classic carpet knife like we old timers learned on in the late 70's. - This is the heavy duty classic Orcon Action Carpet Knife. I first was handed one of these in 1979 and it has been the knife of my choice ever since. It has easy open body with a "wing screw" (no tools required to tighten and loosen) to change blades. No, boys and girls, the blade does not retract with a fancy slider mechanism. This knife is old school (best kind in my opinion). If you want to remove the blade you have to open the body and put it in the storage area within the hollow handle. Only takes 5 seconds when you get the feel for it. Stores up to 9 blades .017 of an inch in thickness. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Review: Carpet Knife - I don't understand why the carpet outlet stores don't carry this knife anymore. I was so happy to see I could order this knife online. This knife makes a world of difference when installing carpet professionally. I can switch out a blade in about 5 to 7 seconds. With any other knife it takes up to a full minute. Unexceptable. I recommend this knife to all installers. This is an old school knife. If your used to the new knifes these days, I say try it anyways and you will be amazed. ## Features - Uses slotted blades (not included) - Quick blade change - "D" Ring for quick blade access ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Blade Material | Stainless Steel | | Brand | Orcon | | Color | Silver | | Handle Material | Aluminum | | Handle Type | Manual-Retractable | | Material | Aluminum | | Material Type | Aluminum | | Product Style | Retractable | | Style | Retractable | ## Product Details - **Blade Material:** Stainless Steel - **Brand:** Orcon - **Color:** Silver - **Handle Material:** Aluminum - **Handle Type:** Manual-Retractable - **Manufacturer:** Orcon - **Material:** Aluminum - **Style:** Retractable - **UPC:** 711839430639 ## Images ![Action Carpet Knife - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71yVzGxRsmL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Classic carpet knife like we old timers learned on in the late 70's. *by D***G on September 30, 2021* This is the heavy duty classic Orcon Action Carpet Knife.
