The rubber brush does the job of sweeping up cat hair really well, although there seems to be a specific method required. Gently/slowly sweeping the floor with no extra weight on the brush other than it's own weight seems to be the way to approach it. If you do it too quickly, the draft from the brush will simply scatter the furballs ahead of it. The durability of the brush seems to be good. I'd read some other reviews that talked of brushes wearing out really quickly. With this in mind I took an approach of using no pressure on the brush wiother than it's own weight while sweeping and after 8 weeks the bristles still appear to be in perfect condition. I've used it on tiles and wooden floors, a door mat and on smooth fabric seat cusions and it's worked perfectly well on all.
