## Description

The Tool Band-It adjustable magnetic arm band has been featured on the Discovery Channel show "Pitchmen". Powerful rare earth magnets secure tools, nails, bolts, and more. When two hands are not enough, the Tool Band-It keeps your tools and parts within reach. The Tool Band-It's patented design is rugged, lightweight and flexible, easily fitting either arm, sized 8-14 inches. Perfect for ladder work, arts and crafts, auto work, home projects, or gardening. It can support up to 25 pounds of tools or parts. It is recommended for use with individual items that don't exceed 1 pound in weight and/or 8 inches in length.

Review: Lots of powerful magnets! - Wow, this band really can hold over 20 pounds of iron and steel. Not that you would want anywhere near that much weight strapped to your arm. But that's not the point: These are the real-deal, quarter-sized, rare-earth neodymium magnets. Any more hyphens and they would create time distortion, and then you'd always be late to work because of powerful magnets. And that's not a viable excuse. There is also no viable excuse for the silly little straps on this magnetrocity. Well, maybe the price. This thing is nearly as inexpensive as the Chinese labor used to assemble it. The straps, though, are non-elastic and a little scratchy on bare skin. Maybe it's good that they aren't elastic. If you wear it too tight on your upper arm it can feel disturbingly like a blood-pressure cuff. So getting the straps to just the right tightness can be tricky and requires a couple adjustments. I tried it on my forearm too and that works pretty well. Back to the raison d'etre for this thing: the gazillion magnets that can warp space-time. The power becomes useful when you want to hold oddly shaped things: Various sockets, screws, washers, nuts, screw tips... I use this in conjunction with my impact driver which has a 1/4" quick-change. I'll be running some copper pipe and will need a 3/8", 1/2", and 9/16" socket, Philips bit, and some metal clamps with nuts and bolts. I can keep ALL of this EASILY on my arm, ready to go, just throw your hand over there to your bicep and grab stuff, and when you switch out you just throw stuff at your arm and it stays. So fast. I have also taken it off my arm and stuck it to a a metal stud or pipe or a scissor lift and used it like an organizer. My girlfriend thinks it looks like batman's suit. My co-workers call me Magneto. The fact that this arm band brings comparisons to comic book superheroes is surprisingly appropriate given its heroic super-powers.
Review: Good for the price - Paid $4 for this, shipment was within a timely manner. Didn't realize it was the "As seen on TV brand", but that is neither here nor there. 1. The unit works as described, simply strap it to your arm, and stick stuff to it, very handy, just make sure to put it on the correct arm. If you hold your drill with your right arm, put this on your right arm, otherwise you are tossing the drill back and forth so you can reach the band and your screws or what not. 2. This is not a full wrap around band. It has two 5/8" velcro strips that secure it around your arm. I was not thinking about this looking at the pictures. These two bands are small, and uncomfortable on bare skin, I have to make sure I have a sleeve under the band, otherwise the velcro irritates my arm. That is the only reason I gave this three stars, the bands are very annoying, so much as I nearly returned it for another model, but for $4 why bother. 3. There is a pen/pencil holder on each side, which is great and very handy...If you can find a pen that fits in the holder, as its kind a small loop.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple concept, works as advertised
*by C***Y on March 25, 2010*

I had seen this advertised on TV and thought, it seemed like a good idea, but if it was truly any good it would have found it's way into stores but I had never seen it. I finally saw a reasonable price with free shipping and decided to give it a try. I used it while assembling a new TV stand and it paid for itself the very first usage. This was one of those projects that comes with an allen wrench and dozens of screws to put in. For every assembly step, the exact number of screws was ready, on the arm band, along with the wrench. No fumbling around for parts or your tools, they're directly in reach on the band. I've tested the magnet with mid-sze screwdrivers, wrenches, and needle-nose pliers. It held every tool easily. The magnet is strong enough to hold larger tools than you'd even need to use it for. For the price, it's easily worth adding to your tools if you do a lot of assembly work with nails, screws, nuts, bolts, washers, etc. It's like the extra hand you always wished you had!!
