It is my favorite guitar. I replace bits just to try different combinations.The next part I thought I would replace for a trial was the pickups. I searched for the cheapest Alnico V that I could find, and this was it. The best bit was this prewired pick guard and pickups was cheaper than a set of pickups on their own.So what is the catch. Well!! there wasn't one. They are Alnico V pickups, even though the ad at one point says ceramic, and the wiring and pickguard are as good as anything else I have seen at much higher prices.To make this review complete I must tell you that only one of the screw holes lined up, meaning I had to drill new pilots, and the wiring has the red wire as the ground and white wire as the hot, which is not intuitive to me.The one I took off had the red hot/black ground that is the usual protocol for the UK.
