I bought the 8'x10' sheet. It's got a very fine weave to it so it should keep out even some of the smallest bugs. Still lets in plenty of light and air. I have it over my indoor seeding shelf, one to keep the bugs away and two to keep the cats away from the plants. Bugs shouldn't be a problem, only time will tell if it would discourage the cats enough. It's exactly as advertised but I will say it was not easy to cut to size, because the material is difficult to cut with a standard pair of scissors unless they are VERY sharp and you can hold it tight. I ended up using a sharp knife and a cutting board to get it cut to the right size and that actually worked better than i expected. The material does fray when you cut it so you might try using a flame on the ends, or do what i did and line the edge with tape. I basically made a boarder around the pieces I cut with tape to make sure the edges don't fray more. The material it self is pretty sturdy but a growing plant will definitely push through it and you can end up with holes/gaps easy if you mishandle the material so be careful with your set up.
