Yes, I can confirm that this memory chip will fit into a Synology NAS DS224 device and works perfectly. I can confirm this after a month of being powered up with no issues. The reason I highlight this is that the DS224 comes with 2GB initially and is supposedly only expandable with another 6GB chip officially. I read that this amount can be exceeded, despite Synology only recommending their expensive chips, and it's correct. The chip itself fitted just fine but remember that you have to fit it at an angle and then push it down into place, rather than try and slide it into the socket, as I initially attempted. I'd recommend looking at a video to see what I mean with that as it'll make it much clearer. I feel the chip is good value for money, especially compared to so-called official compatible versions.
