There is no offensive scent to this tape, and it starts to break down a little as soon as you fully immerse it in water. Yet it is both strong and sticky, and gives me no concerns even with the heaviest of packages. A note however- if you are using this as a project tape instead of for shorter term uses such as shipping, it does have a tendency to stiffen up a bit and discolor somewhat over time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Biodegradable and clear! *by P***N on Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2021* I love that this is biodegradable *and* clear. It's super sticky and comparable to the regular plastic kind, but I feel better about using it.
