These are wide, padded and have an adjustable strap. Still lots of room on strap after I adjusted. The sole is comfortable and I felt confident that I could walk anywhere (not mountains and hills) with them. Unfortunately, there is an issue with the heel fabric which is far too high and hurts my leg (yes it is that high).
