It's like small semolina grains and though it does track, it tracks far less than the previous granular Catsan Wood Comfort sawdust litter. The cats seem very happy to use it.The clumping and absorbency is excellent! I've found it easy to scrape off the bottom and sides of the tray, and a sharp tap gets it off the scoop. But I clean the trays several times a day. I can imagine if the tray was cleaned less frequently, it could be like scraping cement so it may not be suitable for someone who can only clean the tray daily. As it clumps strongly meaning all the urine is removed, I expect it will go longer between complete tray changes compared to the non-clumping sawdust which despite scooping gets smelly in a few days.Only given 4 stars as I'm not sure how long the bag will last, and it's very expensive! I'm considering switching, but at twice the price of my existing litter, it's a huge extra spend on our already very costly little furry purries.Upgraded to 5* as this stuff lasts and lasts!
