It is broad at the intersection of the glutes and and the rest of male anatomy, and this caused chaffing. After the first 73 km. ride, I found less discomfort. I would opt for a similar saddle with a more narrow forward extension. I would buy it again, it is comfortable to sit back on. [EDIT] Several rides later. . . I have no problems with this product, it is a comfortable ride. I have changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars. Softer seat, more cushion, thicker pad - overall nicer quality. The metal frame inside appears to be strong and well constructed.Very easy to switch out the old seat and put this one on, as it came with a wrench used for both. This padded saddle seat is great and very affordable. It was a little tricky installing it because I needed to use the hardware from the original seat to attach the new seat, but after a few minutes it worked out fine and I've been riding trails comfortably ever since. The tilt is adjustable too.
