Attractive, easy controls and not overly fussy. Draws smoke and odors well even on the low setting.One big drawback, though. This fan is noisy! For example, I often have a radio on in the background at about regular conversation volume. Once you turn on the hood fan it totally drowns it out. Even on the lowest setting, my husband complains that he feels like he is on a runway listening to a propeller plane getting ready for takeoff.If I had to do it over again, I think I'd spend a little more money on a quieter unit. It is fairly attractive. One of the bulbs burned out a month after it was installed. Hard to find exact replacements so I swapped in a lower wattage one that I could find locally. The red dot on the switch falls off occasionally (poor design). The sides did not fit correctly without creative adjustments.Now the motor acts up and makes a crunching sound 80% of the time. I will eventually disassemble the unit to see how crappily it was made. I would avoid this brand at all costs.
