I’m using this DIY Cartel shelf as part of a high-mounted archive rail / micro-library setup, and it has been excellent. The shelf looks clean, minimal, and architectural, but the real strength is that it actually performs under load. Mine is holding a concentrated row of books in a tight space above a doorway, including several heavier hardcovers, and it still presents as stable, sleek, and highly functional. That combination is rare. A lot of minimalist shelves look good but feel questionable once weight is added. This one gives a much stronger sense of confidence when installed properly.
