Nightwish - End Of An Era - LIMITED BOX - ENGEL + DÄMON

Got the DVD in 2007. When I play it for friends, they are all thrilled of the stunning performance from all musicians. And not only people who like hard rock or heavy, my wife and grandchildren from 4 year are loving it as well, and have seen it many times. Especially Tarja makes a fantastic performance on stage in Finland (Helsinki) were they come from, moving around that gives the whole show a sense of "far from static", like other concerts. Not only as a pretty woman, but her powerful voice fits the music perfect. After the show is ended I ask my friends how many different dresses she was wearing? They can gladly watch it over again to count!All musicians have their moments many times in the concerts, keyboardist (who started the band with Tarja) show his skills. Guitar is very often taking your attention. Bass-guitar is very often invicible (sometimes also sound) but not this guy. And the drummer really bang the drums. Not to forget when they take a brake, they let a strange guy play and sing (it cant be silent during brake), big chance you dont take a brake!When you see how nice they perform together in this concert (which is the end of a long tour) it is completely not to understand why Tarja was fired the same night!!! She was by the groups decicion fired before the concert, but was informed 10 min after the show? I guess she didnt had a nice time that night. Maybe she had been to much of a primadonna, but there must probably be many egocentric persons in the group to be able to end up in such a disaster.Ive bought the BD in 2012 to see if the concert was better than DVD on my new BD player and full HD nano-LED screen. It was maybe not much better, because the audio on both is exellent, and picture is not the fantastic quality like BD can be. But when some reviewers gives 1 star or mostly writing about the poor quality and found moments when cameramen or editor are not perfect in their jobs, then it goes totally out of proportions. I dont say if, but when (as you must) you watch this marvellous show, I know you will be fascinated. We welcome you to this special event!

Even if you don't know of Nightwish watch this and enjoy. The band are as always magnificent.This is of course Tarja's last show with the band ,only she doesn't know it and they do,and there's a few moments throughout you can see they feel that.However amazing concert,fabulous performances from everyone as always.High Hope cover is to die for,had to repeat many times.Marko's voice,Emmpu 's guitar here,Tuomas and Jukka too, the boys at their best.Phantom was again amazing, Tara and Marko together just beautiful, again repeat. Too many moments.. A special moment in time that we never saw them perform with the same line up again.

wow what can you say i enjoyed evrry song i will miss this line up of the band to the lead singer was just wow the best singer i have heard in a long time she wood sing for pepole of any age i watched this with my 76 year old mum and she loved it to cant understand why she is not doing a london west end show i wood love to see hur with micheal ball doing a andrew loyed webber show it wood be so great my mum thinks so to i do hope the group comes back with the lead singer in this dvd she was the only one that worked well with them evan you could see it with the fans who where at the show i was to when the dvd ended come on boys bring hur back so i can see you live in scotland with the best singer you had

I am an avid Nightwish fan, I eagerly awaited my copy of the Blu-ray as soon as I realised it was available. I was eager in anticipation to see this, Tarja Turinen's last with Nightwish in HD.Firstly, the 'negatives.' No, it's not 1080p HD...... Well, actually that is the only negative. The concert is however in HD, 720p and has come out very very well. It's a beautifully filmed production that really does capture the power of Nightwish's music and the emotion of th occasion brilliantly.This is the best quality version of the this concert available, as such I cannot recommend it highly enough. I give this product 4/5 rather then a perfect score to reflect the lower resolution then many purchasers may expect. The quality of the show itself though cannot be questioned, it's spectacular.

For people who had heard of the band but never heard anything by them I implore you to buy this DVD. This was a band at the top of its game that everything came together on one special night - performances - unity so it appeared - an unsurpassed stage production in sound and singer - only for them to sack their unique focal and vocal point two hours after the gig!! To say they will never attain these heights again is perhaps rash but "Once" ( pun intended ) seen never forgotten and leaves wanting you to watch it again and again. As talented as the replacement singer is she and the band secretly know that the songs will never be performed like this again, hopefully until the necessary re-union if at all hatchets can be buried and not into each others heads!!

Tarja's final show with Nightwish, and what a show. Every song is a highlight, delivered in true Nightwish style. It is apparent though, that the guys knew what was to come at the end of the show. They seemed very ill at ease, but in no way was their delivery diminished. A must for any Nightwish fan, old and new.

This is a great DVD for those of you who like heavy metal with a quality opera like voice thrown in for good measure, and one of the most beautiful singers out there ... its available if you google / search you tube , but owning the DVD is just so much better, as you can back it up to your laptop , stick your headphones on and enjoy ... worth finding and bouncing along with the lyrics .. although that can take some mastering... she has a way with words that Tarja .... great value and keep on rocking.. ;]

I was annoyed by some of the editing. The producer had clearly too much to drink. Overall, though, this was a superb video, the footage (editing aside) was brilliant, this is a must-get as far as I'm concerned.

Das Konzert fand als letztes der Welttournee statt und wurde in Helsinki aufgezeichnet.Wie immer liefert die Band und Tarja eine perfekte Show ab, mit einer atemberaubend schöner Musik, die nur diese Band und nur mit dieser Sängerin erschaffen konnten.Was nach außen hin perfekt aussieht, hat hinter den Kulissen Risse. Große Risse.Schon nach langer Zeit brodelte es zwischen der Frontfrau Tarja, die sich immer mehr von der Band entfernte und bereits ihren Ausstieg aus der Band nach einem weiterem Album verkündet hatte.Bis heute weiß niemand, was während der Tour passierte, aber nach dem Konzert bekam Tarja einen Brief ausgehändigt, den sie am nächsten Tag lesen sollte, und dort erfuhr sie schriftlich, dass die Band nicht mehr mit ihr zusammen arbeiten möchte und sie mit sofortiger Wirkung kein Mitglied der Band mehr ist. Das wurde zeitgleich auf der Internetseite der Band in mehreren Sprachen veröffentlicht.In der Hinsicht ist dieses Konzert als historisch einzuordnen, denn es war das letzte Mal, dass die Band zusammen mit Tarja zusammen Musik machte.Zur Qualität: die Aufnahme wirkt ziemlich hektisch, zum Teil durch die viel zu schnelle Schnitte unscharf, aber das gibt sich im Laufe des ersten Liedes. Den Rest kann man gucken, ohne Kopfschmerzen zu bekommen :-)Wenn ich mir die Songs auf den Youtube-Kanälen von Tarja und Nightwish anschaue, finde ich nur positive Kommentare von Fans, auch wenn die Fangemeinde der Band mittlerweile in 2 Lager geteilt ist. Ein pro-Tarja-Lager und ein pro-Floor-Lager.Hier auf Amazon finde ich merkwürdige negative Kritiken, die ich nicht verstehe. Offenbar macht es manchen Leute Spaß, alles schlechtzureden, weil sie sich über nichts mehr freuen können.Besonders die eine Rezension von dem intellektuellen Schnösel, der kein Metal mag, aber eine Metal-DVD meint bewerten zu müssen, ist das Allerletzte.

Premesso che è un concerto fantastico la versione DVD non rende merito, speravo pareggiasse in qualità quella che si trova in YT purtroppo è inferiore, lascio le 5 stelle perché sapevo che era in definizione standard...però siete avvisati, audio ok ma anche lì non migliora rispetto ad altre fonti, contenuti aggiuntivi e confezione gradevoli.Per appassionati

El grupo me gusta mucho, la selección de las canciones es buena, muy representativas de la etapa Tarja, ampliamente recomendable.

Le dernier concert du groupe finlandais Nightwish avec leur première chanteuse, Tarja. Le concert est au top, une set list qui change un peu de d'habitude en ajoutant des chansons comme High Hopes ou Creek Mary's Blood. Le documentaire allant avec la vidéo du concert est très intéressant et fait un peu mal au cœur quand on sait ce qui se passe à la fin de concert. Comme From Wishes to Eternity, c'est un must have si vous êtes fan !
