His birthday is this month so I decided to buy him his own. Now I have several other similar portable radios but non work as well as this one. I could have purchased a less expensive radio but why take the chance when this one is small, lite weight, tunes in nicely and has a very good battery life. After it broke this past year I ordered another one - when it arrived I noticed the dial was very hard to turn the frequency selected didn't match what I wanted. So I returned it and ordered it again from another seller -- the dial worked fine but the analog settings were awful. If I wanted to play FM station 96, you had to set the dial to 92...…..the settings are way off. At first I thought I received a bad radio (it happens) but when the second one arrived and had the same issue, I knew then it was not a fluke. It's also being returned. If you don't care the analog slide is way off, it's a good radio but if you're out of town and unfamiliar with the local stations, it's not worth it.
