Probably shooting water 18 inches or more in thin but uniform streams.But if a cloud passes over or it's overcast the water barely trickles out the top. Slightly different but just as frustrating, if a leaf casts a shadow on one of the solar panels (even though all of the others are in full direct sun) it starts intermittently pumping water in a rapid on/off cycle.After 1 week it started doing the rapid on/off cycle even if all solar panels were in full direct sun, then 2 weeks after that it stopped altogether and no longer works at all.It was fun while it lasted, but at best it's a cheap product with poor quality control. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Cute but very weak. *by D***Y on Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2019* Very cute but disappointed in how it functions. I sent the first one back thinking it was defective. The second one behaves identically. This must be in strong direct sunlight to function. If the sun goes behind a tree or if a shadow of any kind passes over it just turns off. It only sprays well in the direct sunlight. When in subdued light, water is sometimes expelled in intermittent squirts, about two inches high. More solar panels would improve the operation. But if the solar fountain pump can be used in direct sunshine, it will work well.
