I recently dug out a hole in my shed to reinforce the floor before putting a lift and some lights in. However with the hole dug it filled with water, I needed to drain the hole to install reinforcing mesh, lights, and some piping. The water itself was dirty muddy water with bits of stones and grit in it, but the pump managed to clear it out.
