Good accuracy
I found the accuracy of the build of this guillotine to be very good. Lineups were square. Markings of sizes were accurate. There is a sliding wotsit to help line up the pages square and it did that job well. The blade rarely wriggled off line and was usually down to me trying to cut too many sheets at once. The blade was sharp and held its sharpness well. The base is medium heavy. You don't wanted a lightweight base for this sort of job. There is a plastic handle to fit over the end of the blade. I split the plastic while trying to fit it. I don't know whether that was my fault or not. But the blade was perfectly usable with the split handle.

Good old style power
This is a good old style paper cutter. Have tried the modern "safer"style slide ones but none have been up to the task.It is lovely and lightweight, although that being due to its construction. Would have preferred a solid wood base but time will tell if this one will last.

Good A3 guillotine for the price
Overall what we were looking for and works well, would recommendPositives:- The blade is lockable in the down position which makes it easy to store (hooks into a pin on the side)- It cuts well- Fairly light weight- One of the cheaper models if you need something that can handle paper larger than A4Negatives:- The bar which you line the paper against for cutting was misaligned. (While annoying, this was relatively easy to fix. If you also find this issue you can loosen the screws underneath, push into the correct position with a fair bit of pressure and then hold in place while tightening the screws again.)- It's a useful idea that there is rear alignment backstop for lining up multiple cuts or keeping together a pile of sheets, but it is a bit flimsy in execution (wobbles a bit, moves around when you are trying to tighten the screw that holds it in place, thinner paper can slide underneath it)

Thought it would be better given the price point.
Looks like it's been sitting about for a long time. The quality isn't great either. Disappointed really.

Good product although wonky, damaged delivery
My old faithful died on me and it took a long time looking through reviews to find a new one. I am really impressed with the ease and accuracy on this one, and would have absolutely given it a five star except for the manner in which it arrived. The box was wet and it had clearly been handled roughly, resulting in the claimed “solid wood base” (which is clearly not solid) being damaged and the laminate peeling off due to the wet.But it’s urgently needed, cuts very well and easily, and manages my thick watercolour paper easily.HOWEVER: I realised soon after using why my paper was wonky-the bar at the top is not straight, and is roughly 3mm lower on one side than the other meaning that using the top bar as a guide to place my paper against is useless.

Solid and sharp!
Exactly what I hoped it would be, a large, solid guillotine that neatly slices paper and card. I expect years of use from this well made piece of kit.

Bends all paper cut. Do NOT buy!
I do not know if it is a production error but the lip of metal where the paper is cut is lower than the board meaning that every card and paper you cut is slightly bent making it useless for a professional design. Apart from that the cut is smooth and nice and doesn't need shaving afterwards but it's useless because of how much it mangles the cards or paper.

Not easy to obtain accurate cuts
Used for trimming copied documents for display. If the document is not square with the edge of the paper, it is impossible to see the angle through the black guard arm holding the paper in place, so the result is often still not square. Similarly it is not possible to see the edge required when a very accurate trim is needed between print lines. The guard arm has too much sideways play in it so that the cutting arm occasionally hits the guard arm itself, and cuts into it, and displaces the paper. The cutting arm if used firmly gives a clean cut without dragging the paper - too gentle use seems to drag the paper, resulting in a torn edge.
