My level dropped way out of range again (down to 8) as shown by blood test. The doctor wanted me to take a 50000 IU prescription pill 1x a week, but they make me feel sick. So instead I took one a day of this Frunutta 5000 IU strength D3 (or 5 of their 1000 IU dose as I bought those too). I retested about 4 months later, and my Vitamin D level was in the normal range at 32. Per my doctor, I’m staying on this dose daily and will continue to monitor my levels regularly as this is a recurring issue for me.Not everyone is the same, so it’s best to check with one’s own doctor on the dose and frequency as these are well above the recommended daily dose. Many doctors recommend 2000 IUs a day for adults and some recommend even less. These are great as they dissolve quickly under my tongue and are pleasant with just a lightly sweet taste (not bitter at all). While I assume it’s a small amount, these do have lactose from milk so those with true milk allergy may need to avoid.
