This is 4 Fargesia RUFA Bamboo plants in 1 gallon pots The plants are 12"H and have multiple canes. This is the most popular clumping bamboo for small (6'-8') privacy screens. It works great as a single specimen plant or can be planted 5' apart to make a barrier. Fargesia Rufa grows quickly and is a prolific shooter. Fargesia Rufa is a clumping bamboo that is non-invasive. This is a native to Western China and a favorite food of the panda. Cane size is .5" diameter and it will grow 6'-8''H'. New culms are reddish and green and leaf out quickly in early Summer. This is a very versatile plant, as it can be grown in partial sun to full sun, with some protection from hottest P.M. sun recommended. Very Cold Hardy (to -15 degrees). USDA Zones 5-9 Rhizomes will be soaked and plants will be shipped semi bare root to save on shipping. Fernhill Bamboo Nursery is located in Cathlamet, WA and has been growing cold hardy bamboo since 2006. Member of the American Bamboo Society. I want happy customers.
