The beads change colour when they’re saturated making it easy to spot when a pack needs to be replaced. Haven’t had them long enough to try dehydrating the used packs in the sun but in theory it seems like it will work. I also put 4 packs into a muslin pouch and placed in the bread box to help out with mould prevention. Can be used in shoes, headlights, cars - anywhere moisture build-up isn’t welcome.
