I LOVE tea. I’ve been a tea lover for decades. Two prerequisites: 1) It MUST be strong (I usually steep for 20(!) minutes; and, 2) It MUST be HOT!!! Not tepid; not warm; but, sweat-inducing, HOT! Therefore, it is difficult for me to find a cup that maintains its heat or can even stand the amount of heat that I prefer without melting, I’m only serious. I love how flat this cup can become. It makes it easy to throw into my backpack; yet, it can withstand the amount of heat that I prefer...the only problem is that it’s a CUP, not a MUG. Hence, it retains too much heat to hold without there being a handle to hold! So, I take a paper towel, fold into quarters lengthwise, and wrap it around the middle of the cup. I must continue to re-wrap the cup; still, it’s easier than getting up to reheat in the microwave multiple times.

At the beginning I was really happy with this mug: No spilling, easy to use, practical, eco-friendly - all it promises. I took it to a 2 weeks trip, then again to a 3 day trip and during that last trip it started to leak from the lid. And I don't mean from the top of the lit if you don't close it well. I mean from the sides of the lit where it's supposed to be all sealed. It defeats it's purpose if you have to take off the lit for you to drink in peace and if you don't want all the coffee over you.In summary, two short trips and the enchantment is over. Waste of money.
