They are cut just right, not too tight or lose in the legs and can be worn with or without bikinis underneath. The material has a good quality, dries quickly and has not faded after a summer of regular use. My daughter who is trim and typically wears an 8 could barely get them up over her hips. It was too small. We returned and got a size 16, and it still looks as though she is stuffed in it. We got a size 12 from another vendor and it worked fine. So, be aware of sizing.
