I did a decent amount of research/planning before going but decided to buy this map last minute on a whim and was really glad I did. The major museums, statues, and historical sites are all indicated on the map as well as a bunch of good restaurants/bars. I rained a couple days while I was there so the fact that this was laminated was perfect. I always carried this map and a sharpie with me to mark it up as I visited the different spots, it will definitely be a nice memory to look back at one day. It fits comfortably in a day pack or purse and allows one to quickly stop, locate one's whereabouts and find where one is headed. In my last visit, I was helping to coordiate a tour group from the United States. Everyone enthusiasttically used the VanDam maps while nativating the city. Just got back from Cuba and I couldn't believe how useful it was. I downloaded an offline map was was pretty good but this was actually even better. As a matter of fact, our host couldn't believe how useful it was so we left it with him for future travelers and I'm ordering another one. It has popular restaurants, places to visit and everything else you'd want. Water/humidity resistant and super lightweight.
