**Q: do u have to sew it on?**
A: No, it's a pin. Mine lasted three years before the pin fell off the brooch. I re-attached it with J. B. Weld and it has held fine. You won't be sorry you bought it. Not as big or as "sterling" as the original, but good for everyday-wear.

**Q: What is it made out of plastic or metal?**
A: metal. I believe it is a metal alloy, so it should be ok as long as nothing rough happens to it. But yes, it is made of metal.

**Q: What is the size of it?**
A: 1 x 2 & 1/2 inches
