THIS IS OFFERED ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Videos get bright, and the Price is Right! *by T***R on December 8, 2010* I felt this light was a good value for the money, it makes a big difference for my inexpensive Camcorder in a smaller area.My Demo Video was taken indoors at night. The ambient light in my living room is 200 watt incandescent+ a 150 watt(equiv.)Compact Fluorescent. I started with the camera 6ft(1.83m) from the cabinet, and then moved it to 3ft(.91m)My Camcorder wouldn't make a completly tight fit, so you might find you need a plastic washer to the camera doesn't swivel at all, but these are readily available. My Canon still camera, didn't need the washer.The light took almost 3 hours to fully charge.(2:45)When I tested it by leaving it on constantly, it lasted at full brightness for about 40-45 minutes, and then about 60-50% brightness for another 10 minutes. Then it dropped off almost to a Bright Nightlight level for about 40 more minutes. Soon I will try Testing it on 10 minutes, then resting 10.This LED light appears to be a knock off of the Sima SL-20LX?Sima SL-20LX Ultra Bright Video Light (Black)I used the Manual option to set my cameras' White Balance, for better color accuracy. Camcorder is is a Sanyo Xacti.Edit: Although the light is still going strong in 2013, one of the LED's is loose.I have the use the Universal Device Reset Technique UDRT, of knocking it against a firm surface - to fix it every so often. ### ⭐ Video Light Not So Bright *by A***G on May 25, 2011* I purchased this little LED Video light in early April of 2011. It arrived on time, and appeared to be exactly what I had ordered! I charged it with the provided charger, per the instructions and used it to shoot about 30 minutes worth of video. The light worked properly, and all was right with the world! With the project finished, I placed the light in my gear bag, along with it's charger to wait for the next project.About 4 weeks later, the opportunity presented itself to use this light again. I took it from my gear bag, and flipped the switch. No light! I tried the switch again, still no light. So I figured, OK - it needs to be charged again. I plugged in the charger before going to bed, and waited for the charging indicator to change from red to green. In the morning, the light was green and I unplugged the charger. Flip the switch - NO LIGHT! Plugged the charger back in - charging light turned red. Left it plugged in when I went to work, light was green when I returned home several hours later. Flipped the switch - No Light, again!When I finally had some time to contact the seller (5/24/2011) I see that a return is not possible, and I cannot send email to the seller (ePhotoINC). While my original review was glowing, I have since discovered that the product was defective, and that I have now waited too long to address the matter (7+ weeks.)The point is this - watch out for this product. I have an identical item, also from Amazon that is marked SIMA on the rear of the light. This unit has worked flawlessly for 6 months, has been recharged many times, and I would happily recommend it to anyone. The unit from ePhotoINC is not labeled with the SIMA name, has 3 small ridges on either side of the lens (that the SIMA version does not have), and was not worth the freighter fuel expensed to get the little bugger here from China. Additionally, the mounting bracket that came with this version is very weak plastic. The SIMA version came with a metal (Aluminum, I think) bracket that can take some abuse. I think I am looking at a cheap knock-off of the original.
