It can open the limited operating system we view through and allow doors to the real source that animates us. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Truly enlightening read *by H***H on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on August 28, 2012* I ordered this book as it was often referred to by Sri Ramana Maharshi, the great Indian sage. I have found his teachings on Self enquiry very helpful and enlightening. The Maharshi referred to only a handful of ancient texts, of which this book is one. I knew as soon as I ordered it it was going to be an immense help to me, and I was not disappointed. It deeply examines the issues of the mind, body and soul and how to achieve the ultimate goal of liberation. It is easy to read written in the classic guru-student conversation manner and only a small amount of background understanding of Advaita is required. If you have read some of the more popular books on the work of Ramana Maharshi (such as by David Godman) and took to them, then I would most definitely recommend this to you as further reading on a deeper level.I can not understand why this gem of a book is not more widely known in the West, it really is a classic. It is known as the two jewels from the crown of ancient Indian wisdom and I must agree as it is packed full of ancient wisdom. The introduction by V.S Ramanan, President of Sri Ramanasramam, India explains why this is." Advaita or non-dual philosophy is the most satisfactory explanation of man's relationship to the all pervading consciousness. Its message is an all enveloping equality is the panacea to the ills of modern society.
