I absolutely LOVE this book!!!!
I absolutely LOVE this book!!! It's like an instruction manual for children with ASD!!! (And I would venture to say that you could use all of the techniques on neurotypical children as well.). It teaches you how to deal with everyday issues that you face with your ASD child: tantrums, button pushing, potty training, sleep training, giving them (much needed) control, explaining things to them and more. I was able to potty train my then 2.5 year old son with ASD in 10 days using the techniques in this book! Another big plus is that the chapters are short and sweet and it's an easy read. I would recommend that both you and your partner and any other caregivers read the book (and ideally re-read the most applicable several times) so that you are all on the same page with how to react to certain situations. My sister and mother are visiting for Thanksgiving and I have asked them both to read the first seven chapters before the come!Thank you Kate Wilde for writing this gem!!!

I don't have enough to say about Kate Wilde and ...
I don't have enough to say about Kate Wilde and the entire Son Rise Program. This book has helped me in so many ways and my child really responds to the techniques given. Kate has truly dedicated her life to understanding and finding solutions to the challenges that we, as parents, face in everyday life trying to raise our special kiddos. Her loving, accepting and patient approach is apparent throughout the book as well as in person. This woman is so remarkable in every way! I can't encourage everyone enough to attend the Start-Up program. People always say that your child is only your #1 priority. I used to believe that. Now I know that my child is my #1 priority as well as Kate Wilde's. What a blessing you and this book are to everyone Kate!!! Thank you!

The most useful book on handling everyday challenges
This is such a useful book! I was having problems getting my daughter to sleep throughout the night and going to sleep by herself. She would wake up at 3am and only go back to bed at 6am. We also had to spend at least 1 hr every night to put her to bed. After reading this book and practicing the strategies suggested, my daughter can now go to sleep by herself and seldom wakes up in the middle of the night.I also find the chapter on handling tantrums really useful. I used to be so frustrated with my daughter's crying but now I can handle her meltdowns so much more effectively and calmly. Every parent should get a copy of this book.

As a Father of a Autistic child that is near to blossom.
This book is amaizing, awesome...Is the perfect complement to the sunrise program. I've been traying the ideas of that program and my son has been progress but something was missing because to reach the maximun of therapy you need to cover thinks like food, sleep, toillette trainig and other stuffs. I was blocking the sonrise program with my ideas about how to training my child to eat with the spoon, to eat new food, to go to the toillete and take showers... I was trying for 2 months the toilette training and the only thing that I have get was that my son doesnt want to be around my...I try exactly the thing that the she said and in 2 week my son start to go to announce to go the toillete, left the dipears and right now he is a happy 4 years old how enjoy to do that thinks... Kate God Bless You. Not for this book alone. For everything about the sonrise program...

The autistic behavior Bible
It's as if the author knew my son! I read this book and took notes. Her approach to helping our kids is loving, accepting and non-judgmental. I waited to write this review until I tried her techniques with my son, and they work. I was able to help my son tremendously. My son no longer bangs his head (this is HUGE for me), he's less rigid ("no" was his favorite word), there's less button-pushing behaviors (he used to spit at everything - the floor, the bed, the couch, the wall...). My advice to other people reading this book is that you have to be consistent when you're using these techniques. In my opinion, this book is the autistic behavior Bible.

Great Resource For Parents and Professionals of Those on the Autism Spectrum
Kate Wilde has taken daily challenges that parents, teachers and professionals have with their favorite people on the autism spectrum. She has given clear direction of how to shape the path for change. As she says, the first place to start is to gain an understanding of their world. Kate has taken her years of experience to craft a book that is an easy read and appropriate for those helping anyone on the spectrum with their daily challenges. I am grateful for one more tool . Thank you Kate for Autistic Logistics!

Great book in exception of the chapter about sleeping
Great book and author, however, the chapter about sleeping should be removed or updated - it is in opposition to everything the author teaches about autistic children. It promotes violence and force attitude towards vulnerable children!

Grooming your child to grow as self-supporting & balanced adult
This book is a must read for every parent to develop their perspective in order to be able to take care of their children through, not only at early stage during childhood but also enabling them grow with 'adult-ego state of mind'. It is not only useful to those dealing with 'autistic children' but even in normal cases as well.
