The diameter of the LED Car Cup Holder Light Pad is practically identical to the diameter at the bottom of the cup holder.. Amazing! I obviously chose Ford being that I own a Fusion and I enthusiastically recommend these Led Car cup Holder Lights to anyone who wants to add a touch of class to their vehicle while on the practicality level you'll never not know where to place your drink at night!! A total class package that truly adds that special ambience in lighting the cup holders on most vehicles.. Here's what you need to know: I purchased a set a few weeks ago and be careful with the tiny on/off switch on the back of the unit. I was changing colors on one of the holders and the switch broke. I sent the set of cup holders back and received a credit and ordered another set as they look so truly beautiful and are so efficient in lighting the holders. Be careful in using the switch on the back of the cup holders as it seems to brake easily.. My advice is to press down slowly, find your color and place them in your cup holders and forget about making any color adjustment unless absolutely necessary, like a few weeks or months down the road if you want to change colors and remember to press that switch slowly and lightly as it is very prone to breaking easily. Yes.. There is an on/off switch!! To turn the LED light off, simply hold in the switch you're using to change the light color with for around three seconds. Remember, when pressing the switch/button to hold it in gently as it will break. That's a definite fact. After a few seconds the disk will flash red a few times. Now the light is off. This will conserve battery power.. Repeat the process to turn the light back on.. When the light is back on you'll probably be in a different color than when you turned the unit off as holding the button in for that few seconds to turn the LED back on will change the color.. That's what's been happening with mine.. Simply press the button (gently!) and find the color you were on when the LED/disc was turned off.. Not a big deal still remember to press the button very carefully and gently.. It's nice to be able to actually turn the unit/disks off now and then though remember all batteries loose strength ("juice") when left off too long, and the batteries provided in these LED car cup holder lights are obviously low grade inexpensive batteries, being that these LED disks are manufactured overseas very quickly. The battery strength in only half a volt a full charge.. My advice is to leave the units(s) off for just a short time ( a few days to a week or two) then fire them up again.. I have the feeling if they're left off to long (like a few months) they may not fire up again.. I leave mine in the off mode for a few days at a time then turn them back on again.. Better to be safe here!! A charger is included with the package. The input on the LED Car Cup Holder can be found along the side of the unit and I simply plugged it into my 3-way splitter which contains three socket plugs and two USB Ports. It plugs into the USB Port and it only takes around 10-15 minutes to charge, although the stats here in Amazon state around two hours to charge. Mine were done in 10-15 minutes.. Remember to save the charger as the LED's will light for around 8-10 hours. When it's time to charge the LED's/battery, the cup-holders will flash in the green mode and then go dark, no matter what color you have them set at. At least that's what happens with mine. After 10-15 minutes on the charger, the LED's/battery are fully charged. I've been charging mine once a week. On the topside of the LED Car Cup Holders you'll see a tiny dot which is the light sensor and they'll only light at night which is only practical and saves battery life in the unit(s). They're also vibration activated and will only light while your driving or will light if there's any vibration in the vehicle. For example, with the engine off I can tap the center console and they'll come on.. They automatically turn off around 15 seconds after the engine is shut down or exiting the vehicle. Anyway, although the switch broke on the back of one of the units I decided these LED Car Cup Holder Lights are so cool I shipped the first set back and immediately ordered another set therefore I was credited for the first set and charged again for the new set (We all know how fast Amazon is when it comes to refunds and being a member of Prime I couldn't be happier!) Now the real cool thing is, you have so many color choices to choose from and they fit snug as if they really came with the vehicle.. That factory installed look is so perfect!! As a matter of fact in order to take them out (lift them up) I needed to fold over a piece of tape and lift them up out of the cupholder well.. That's how perfect they fit.. A totally factory look and classy like factory installed when driving at night. Also, it must be pointed out that these LED Cup Holder Lights not only light the bottom of the holder, they light the entire cup holder assembly. For example, on my Fusion, the cup holder consists of black plastic, same as the center console. The very classy aspect here is that the cup holder lights are so bright they actually light the side of the cup holder assembly all the way to the top. On my Fusion I have a silver strip near the top of the cup holder assembly and the light emitted from the LED's reflects off the silver strips.. Totally cool and strikingly classy as already stated. You can't go wrong with these LED Cart Cup Holder Lights by Aswelly and they also make a great gift at only $18.99 for the set. The LED colors available actually total 17 yet if one navigates thru every color to many times remember, that switch is likely to break. I chose a very deep blue (which matches my dash) and left it at that. These LED's are beautiful, astonishing and classy.. Don't hesitate to buy these LED Car Cup Holder Lights! They're nothing short of amazing!!! By the way, you also have the option of a setting that allows the lights to shift from one color to another. I chose to keep that deep LED blue constant without any color shifting. Any way you go, you'll love these LED Car Cup Holder Lights. They're nothing short of amazing.. Truly awesome!! 7/24/19 UPDATE: It's been just over two and a half months now since I purchased these LED Car Cup Holder Lights and I can honestly say they're still going strong!! A while back I changed the color from the deep LED blue to the lighter blue, as it matches my dash lights perfectly! I didn't mention in my initial review that when I sent the defective set back, I forgot to put the charger wire in the package, so I wound up with two chargers when I received the new LED discs which is very convenient as I'm charging both LED Car Cup Holder Lights at the same time. As stated above, my three plug splitter has two USB Ports so it's just more convenient obviously to charge both at the same time. Charging time is still around 15 minutes. I have noticed the tiny charger input prong doesn't always fit snug initially, into the charger port. Be very careful here, as trying to force the metal prong into the port (located on the side of the disk) will permanently damage the charger port. I've been very careful in lining up the prong with the charger port and eventually the fit is snug and perfect. Remember, these LED disks are very quickly and inexpensively produced overseas. Cheap? Well.. Kind of, in a way, yet if handled with care they should last for some time and as already noted that factory look is outstanding. The LED disc lights up a dim green indicating charging is taking place. When charging is completed they go dark and the voltage readout on my splitter reverts back to the vehicle battery's voltage. When charging the LED Discs, if your using a splitter like mine (purchased here In Amazon) the voltage readout will start at 0.5 volts and go down to 0.1 volt, then the LED disc will go dark, as already noted indicating charging is completed with the voltage readout returning to vehicle battery output (My splitter displays the voltage readout on the top of the unit) and overall, I'm very pleased with the performance and factory look of these LED Car Cup Holder Lights. As noted above, the battery strength is only half a volt at full charge.. So.. Remember, when changing the LED disk's color to very slowly click the button on the back of the unit as it breaks easily and also when charging the disc insert the charger prong into the port very slowly and carefully until the connection is right/lined up for a perfect fit for charging. I cannot overemphasize the importance of treating these LED Car Cup Holder Lights very carefully as they break easily for reasons noted above, yet.. That's all the more important for on the positive side the diameter of these disks are a standard fit for most vehicles, domestic and foreign and when lit they really do have that factory installed look. Will update again around the end of the year. So.. My last word on these LED Car Cup Holder Lights sold by Aswelly is still.. They only turn on when it is dark, and there is vibration (you car is on) haven’t tested the battery life yet, but from what I can tell, they should last about 2 weeks before needing to be charged again.
