The face is way too dim. Can't see the time unless it is under VERY good light condition. Otherwise you have to press the light button, which only stays lit for about 1 1/2 seconds (better option would be for it to remain lit for as long as you press the button). and will drain your battery faster every time you have to press it. I think the black background display on the steel ring version compounds the problem because the numbers are not a crisp white. They are slightly creamy yellowish hue and don't provide enough contrast. Looks the like the watch that has the white background with black numbers is more readable. I would advise to get that one instead.But I would be willing to overlook the faintness of the display since the watch does have a light, as I do like the look of the watch, but then there is this problem: Not sure what calendar this watch uses but the day of the week does not correspond to the date. February 16th is a Saturday but the watch says Thursday. And there is no way to manually adjust the weekday to the correct day. It skips over the weekday when setting the display and sets it automatically instead. Only the date and month can be adjusted. So it will be permanently indicating the incorrect day of the week all the time. Sorry, not what I paid for.I was going to give this as a gift but obviously I cannot with the weekday malfunctioning. I am going to contact Amazon to see what they can do. Maybe I got a lemon since no one else reports this problem. Perhaps they will exchange it for a working one.Edit: I originally gave this watch 1-star but I have since amended my review after deciding that was harsh. 3-stars is more accurate. Minus one star for the weekday malfunction. And minus one star for the dimness of the display. Otherwise, I do like this watch.

This is a great watch for the price. I have yet to expose it to water, though. It is aesthetically very nice looking and somewhat easy to set the time. However, I wouldn't feel confident giving this watch as a gift to someone because it feels cheap. It is very lightweight and the buttons are plastic. The band, IMO, makes it look cheaper but it is comfortable to wear. Since I bought the watch for myself I don't really care too much if it feels cheap, I just want it for running.

This is exactly suited to my needs. It tells the date and time and even has stopwatch and alarm functions. Oh - and it has a LIGHT so I can see the time in the dark! That's it. That's all I want in a watch and this one is nice and cheap (price wise that is). If you want bells and whistles you've got a million options elsewhere, but if you want inexpensive that funnctions just like I described, then get this one.

This is a versatile watch with all the options you might expect—various alarm types, stopwatch, countdown timer, and even dual time. The display is extremely easy to read during the day when viewed directly face on. Viewed from a side angle it becomes unreadable, but that’s not how I use it. The vivid glowing night display remains on for only a second, but that’s long enough to read it. The quick shut-off is obviously intended as a battery saver, so I appreciate it. The rubber strap is a standard 22mm design, rather than being a special strap as some digital watches require, so finding a replacement strap should be very easy. The only downside I can think of is that the buttons are not labeled, but it is easy to remember from the instructions what they do.

FEB:I was excited to receive this watch but it came with a dead battery and after replacing the battery, I realized about 3 days later that the stupid watch was 8 minutes behind beside setting it 5 minutes ahead. Had to return for a refund, I wouldn't trust a replacement watch from this brand.APR:I changed my rating to 5 stars after receiving a new replacement watch even though I received a refund. I have no issues with the new watch. Seems I previously received a defective product and now that has been resolved. This company must value customer satisfaction. With that said, I would buy this product again.

I like the large numbers in the bright light display. It took a long time to figure out probably because I lost the instructions. However, I contacted the manufacturer through Amazon and they emailed me a new set of instructions that day. I don’t like that the alarm or the timer has a very soft ring. I slept through it a couple times. Also, the timer can only be set to whole numbers.For example, you can not set it to 1:30, which I need to do some of my vestibular exercises.

Works pretty good after a month. I have small wrists this just does fit.It is pretty big. But I just needed and every day type of watch. And the big display works well for my eyes. I like night like. It does not stay too long. Keeps battery life up as far as I am concerned.The one down issue i have so far is the in normal (not lighted) mode. You have to look at it dead on to read the display. maybe +/- 10 degrees is all you get. Otherwise you shadows or weird images at greater viewing angles.I am currently satisfied with this watch for now for the price.
