It cant be used on African American hair or with oil or conditioner or it pops apart and the paint comes of in water alone without oil. So if you plan to use this for detangling wet hair you wont have a unicorn or any paint left on any part that comes in contact with your hair. If you have 4a-c type hair this brush is too cheaply made for us. It had like 3 1"glue spots inside after it popped apart. I think that the $1 stores have better quality brushes than this. I dont know because I wouldn't buy from there with my hair type.
