I would not go any bigger than a budgie on this one. It was easy enough to attach, I would measure your doorway before purchasing to make sure it'll fit. Fiddling with the screw took some finesse that is lost on me apparently, and since it left my door potentially open for little escape artists I had to secure the door with a clip or something similar. Otherwise, it took the birds a while to get used to it, but they did eventually come to realize food comes out of it regularly. I needed to entice them with millet but they got it eventually. It was good for me to use when I knew I was going to be out of the house for the weekend, and it kept the birds fed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good extended feeders for VT, read full review not internal mount when I bought. *by R***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2019* PLEASE NOTE DESCRIPTION INCORRECT-Advantage: this feeder can be fixed on the internal or external of the cage.This is an external mount feeder only. Many of the other sellers with essentially the same feeder have added hooks to allow for internal mounting, not this one.I needed these ASAP, placed order they arrived within 18 hours! But they were not going to work as sent. I modified them via home made hooks, washer and nut/bolt. If you need to do this take care the bend of the hooks is identical for each pair and that they are placed to allow the feeder to hang evenly. I actually used 4 of the hooks/attachment clips off of ID lanyards.I gave a 5 star for the easy to remove question as mine being modified are quite easy to remove. The button attachment provide looked to be a challenge.I am pleased with these feeders, wished they had had the hooks to begging with but not an unsolvable problem. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Mess saver! *by A***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2020* I purchased this for my Zebra finches. They are sort of notorious for flitting and flying around their cage and spreading cage debris outside of the cage. I didn't realize it had two separate compartments, bonus. I'm transitioning them from a seed blend to a better pelleted, crumble type diet. By having the two compartments, I have both foods available and can easily view if they are eating both foods, which they are. The tray catches most of the waste, which I recycle to the wild birds to finish up. All seed eaters will pick out their favorite seed and leave or move out of their feeder, the seed they don't want to eat. This is what ends up in the catch tray and the wild birds devour in seconds! Once connected to the door, I fixed it in place with the screw and washer provided. There really isn't any reason to remove it once in place. The catch tray is easy to remove and replace and the feeder is filled from the top. It's a very nice design and I have no reservations recommending this feeder.
