Some things like shoes I'd never buy online without seeing or trying on elsewhere. No surprise on the fit or color or anything else. Basically I ordered through Amazon because they were $9 cheaper than the sale price at the shoe store and qualified for free shipping. No brainer. They look good, fit well and are comfortable for me anyway.Edited two weeks later: I still like these shoes from the standpoint of fit and comfort. However I have an issue with the color that was not apparent till I wore them in bright sunlight. They are the dark brown color which is fine in shade, artificial light, and at night. However, it bright sunlight, they have a definite dark olive green tint to them which I don't really care for. I hope that it eventually fades. Comfortable without socks. Great for summer. I have wide feet but these brown shoes fit just fine in same size as my dress shoes (which are a size or two smaller than my usual running shoe size).Review of tan shoe: I liked the brown so well I bought another pair in tan. The tan shoe (same size, of course) was significantly narrower than the brown and a bit shorter. I'd rate the tan shoe 2 stars due to fit but the brown shoe is 4 stars; average rating - 3 stars.Update: was able to stretch shoes a bit by using shoe trees and Lexol leather conditioner to soften leather allowing some stretch. Wore them at home as slippers to further stretch them but failed to make them comfortable. Probably going to Goodwill.Update: gave up with the tan shoes; leather should stretch to fit but these don't - I kinda doubt they're made of leather. Bought a pair of handsewn mocs in Wide width from LLBean, a company that knows how to make an American wide fit shoe. They sent me a coupon so the mocs cost me about as much these. They keep me from running around the house barefoot, which I love doing anyways. These seem to be pretty well made. I did not know they were made in China. The last pair of deck shoes started falling apart about a year after I purchased them at DSW. They were Sperry's, made in the USA. A well known brand. But the quality has really dropped down.
