However, most clay that is thrown on a wheel requires a kiln to finish the process but I just take mine in to a local studio to have them fired. **Q: Do you offer or suggest where I can buy a replacement wheel head?** A: You should reach out to the seller directly or reach out to the manufacturer. I’m sure you can buy parts from them. **Q: The instructions explicitly state not to use an extension cord. My plugs are higher on the wall and cord is too short! What to do?** A: I use an extension cord. Haven’t had any problems! Mind you the cord I use is more industrial and meant for outside and powering power tools and stuff. It feels very durable and it’s got some weight to it. ### ⭐ Worked well at first, then stopped working after a month. *by K***N on September 15, 2020* It is a light weight but low quality wheel, good enough to make smaller things, such as mugs or bowls--until it breaks down. I was excited to use it when it first arrived. HOWEVER, after using it for a month, it start to break down. I think the band is very low quality. What happened is sometimes after turning on the wheel for a few seconds, the band would fall off the track and the wheel would stop turning when being turned on. I would manually put the band back up which is tedious to do. What's worse is recently the band has gotten even worse, and every time I put it back, it falls immediately after I turn on the wheel. If you check out the video, you can see that when I first press the foot pedal, the wheel started turning, and then slowed down and stopped. And on the bottom, you can see the band fell off the track. So right now this wheel is no longer usable. I tried to contact the seller but haven't heard back. For an appliance that is over $200, I would expect it to last for at least a year, if not more.
